House System
B.R. Birla Public School has four houses and every child is a part of one of them. If we rearrange the names of four houses, Shivaji, Tagore, Ashoka and Raman in a certain order, their first letters form an acronym ‘STAR’ which sounds creative. With the word “STAR”, they assume they are “stars” too, all shiny & talented.
The most beautiful aspect of STAR is the way it has chosen the personalities to represent the houses. S stands for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who was born in Maharashtra, western India; T stands for Rabindranath Tagore who was born in West Bengal, eastern India; A stands for Ashoka who was born in present-day Bihar, northern India & finally R stands for C V Raman who was born in Tamil Nadu, southern India. Clearly, all of India has been covered indiscriminately by the distinguished personalities who “belong” to the four different regions of India.
